About OHIP

Effective partnership working is the heart of what OHIP does and is central to the delivery of communities and neighbourhoods

Partnership working offers us a real opportunity to make the best use of the resources at our disposal, to develop joint working and common approaches to produce better results, and to find innovative solutions to difficult problems.

OHIP also has strong links with the Oldham Partnership and has aligned its priorities with key strategies such as the Local Area Agreement.

Properties In Oldham. Our Community Links project, funded through Housing Market Renewal (HMR) and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), was identified as an example of good practice in the 2006 Cantle Review.

OHIP members share common aims and objectives. We provide a housing service to our tenants, employment and training opportunities in the sector and we bring in significant investment.   We also bring other skills and experience far beyond our traditional role as accommodation providers. Behind every member of staff and local office counter sits an organisation with expertise in a variety of fields from supported housing to social enterprises development, from state of the art development to nationally recognised tenancy support services, from arts projects to employment projects.  With this collective experience we aim to continue to play our part in future of Oldham.
